New Continuing Education Webinars as of November, 2023

Each webinar is 1.0 hour in length unless otherwise specified, each includes a lecturette with audio and slides and includes a quiz. Once the quiz is completed and returned, a certificate of completion for 1.0 CEU’s is issued. The certificates are the responsibility of the CEU holder to present to the credentialling authority. NCDA approved provider, can be used for CCSP renewal, (Reminder: CCSP credentials need to be renewed every 3 years with 30 CEU’s total)

Curious about using this tool in career counseling? Let’s see how a career genogram works, what questions to ask, and how to proceed.

2. The Lion that Roared at Dinner: How parental perceptions about work can influence children and young adults
The family unit can often influence career choices and the idea of work itself. Looking into cause and effect of parental views, we will examine how parental choices can be a determining factor for the children.

3. Onboarding for new career services staff in higher education in the US and abroad
What are the initial considerations for new staff joining an established career services unit? How might a new person plan their integration into the institution and establish alliances within and with employers?

4. Career Options for Restless Career Services Staff in Higher Education in the US
Should I stay or should I go? How to identify possible paths within the institution and alternative options outside of higher education

CEU Sessions (One Hour Webinar)

These are established and credible webinars that are topical in nature, and approved by NCDA to support the credentials earned. The Certified Career Services Provider and the GCDF require 30 hours of CEU’s every three years to keep the credential current. Topics range from career genograms, AI, parent involvement in career development, etc.
